From a reputable breeder

Advice gratefully received ☺️

@ilovesushi

The number isn't registered to anyone - not even to a chipper
The breeder chipped them - and this wasn't even one of her allocated numbers
The other puppies are all chipped ok
It makes no sense

Mine (5 months) is clearly faulty. He’s eaten mouldy bread, a full snail complete with shell, a manky tissue, mud, and god knows what else and never even the hint of a loose stool!

”Leave it” does not work for him on walks. He is a nightmare. I spend half the walk fishing things out of his mouth and the other half eyeing the way in front to make sure there’s nothing he can try and eat!

Dog trainer is coming Saturday…

Good luck with the trainer....mine is 9 and I still have to do this!! (She had cancer at 3 and was on chemo and steroids, since when she has been relentlessly starving all the time).

Why have I only just discovered this thread?! Daisy is beautiful @Tilllly , congratulations!

I wanted a GR but DH was put off by the hair so we got a lab instead (not as hairy but a surprising amount). I’m patiently waiting to add a GR to the family, of course DDog needs a sibling!

Oh Daisy...

I always thought those charges are bad quality 🧐....now Daisy proved it

TT82 · 26/02/2024 11:18

@Tilllly wanted to ask, is hair around indeed a big problem as everyone says? Or it is okish?
I have ragdoll (fluffy), had maine coon, then occasionally have friends ragdoll staying with us... Used to fluff everywhere, though don't mind hoovering. It is more to prepare my husband than myself 😅
15 years ago he did allergy tests, very strong allergy for cats, milder for dogs... But then he said or well and we got fluffy cats and he is fine completely all these years. Cat cannot sleep with us, but he is jumping on the bed and sleeps there during day. So yeah, maybe would need him to redo the allergy tests now, not to risk.

MmedeGouge · 26/02/2024 11:28

If it’s any help my husband tests allergic to cats and dogs and horses.
He always has a physical reaction to cats but it varies with dogs and he is fine with the horses.
He is fine with our labs, who moult so much I could stuff duvets with the stuff and sell them! (If I was so inclined). However Dh has a really bad allergic reaction to our daughter’s cockerpoos.
Its so random for him.

TT82 · 26/02/2024 11:40

Thank you @MmedeGouge, he is fully fine with our cats, our friends dogs, but then he doesn't play with them, so they don't scratch/bite him. Probably then he might have some, tbh never seen his allergy reaction (only hay fever), but because officially he does have confirmation (mild), need to research it more 😩
With cats easier, as he can avoid very close contact. But with the dog all of us need to interact, puppy will leak/chew us 🥰 Yeah, cannot risk, just hope it got better and test will prove it

Tilllly · 26/02/2024 12:37

Not too bad so far @TT82

Helping me tie my laces

Babypuppyshark · 27/02/2024 08:33

You’re brave to have laces 😂

Mine destroyed a pair of them by chewing right across the middle of my shoe!

WHY do they always go for cables/laces/clothes when they have so many things they’re allowed to chew?!

Riverlee · 02/03/2024 18:42

We must be due for a new picture soon…
