How much should I be feeding my puppy

Hi,
Would be really grateful for any advice please 😊
Just want to make sure we are not over/under feeding our puppy.

She's a 10 and a half week old Poochon and weighs 1.3kg. Quite energetic. She's on wet puppy food.

There's so much conflicting advice online from 20g -100g a day, totally forget to ask Vet today in all the kerfuffle getting her jabs done🤦

Thank you

Surely depends on the brand? Normally there's a guide on the packet.

I raw feed mine, but I'm sure wet and dry have guides.

Oh and pics!!!! It's the law!

muddyford · 21/12/2023 16:54

Ask the breeder or look on the food container.

SparrowFeet · 21/12/2023 16:56

Look on food container. If she puts on weight feed her less, if she seems ravenous feed her more.
I'm not trying to be flippant but honestly you don't need to complicate it. Just learn from her.

Endlesstissues · 21/12/2023 16:58

All of the above. Or phone your vet and check.

Ohdearwhatnow4 · 21/12/2023 17:04

Is she just on wet or so you give her kibble to help with her teeth. Basically I was told the cheaper the brand the more they need as its empty calories. Our dog is on raw and when she was on kibble I use to put chicken in her bowl, we never used wet.

Tacsi · 21/12/2023 17:05

Thank you all
Surprisingly it doesn't say on the food box🤔 that's the first place I checked.

She absolutely guzzles her food and is always wanting more ,she sits by where the food is stored often. We're distracting her and feeding her 4 times a day at present. She did have worms when we got her but we've had her treated and haven't seen any lately. She would honestly be fed 20 times a day if we let her haha.

A ten week old puppy should poo after meals , after twelve weeks around four times a day .

I'd try giving her more. Our pup did the same we ended up giving him double the amount. He's a healthy weight.

IngGenius · 21/12/2023 17:50

What wet food is she on?

The manufacturers website may say. Otherwise, feed four times a day, and I'd up it if she's starving. They're generally pretty good at self-regulating at that age.

VelvetandLace · 21/12/2023 21:59

They need plenty of calories for growth at that age. Mine seemed to have times when she was really hungry so I increased the food at those times.

margotrose · 21/12/2023 23:59

What brand are you feeding her?
