DDog was sick yesterday morning - yellow frothy - but then fine. Had a restful day and slept fine and ate normally. This morning he's gurgling like mad so I wondered what I ca. give to soothe his tum. Any tips? He's waggy tailed and just looks a bit confused bless him.

Therd is a prokolin dupe called stomach setter you can buy off Amazon which is brilliant (exactly the same as prokolin just a third of the price).
Ive got a dog probe to a bad stomach and when he’s really sick he has a day of just getting really overcooked plain rice. It seems to help him loads

Yellow froth sounds like hunger pukes. Our dogs get an extra small meal before bedtime because of this.

Goat's milk...

ArticWillow · 10/12/2023 08:28

How often and how much do you feed your dog?
Yellow froth is often associated with hunger/ empty stomach.

Mine has breakfast & dinner to avoid this.

Frothy yellow sick is normally down to hunger - if is stomach is still gurgling now it probably just means he's hungry!

How often do you feed him and how long is it between his last meal of the day and his breakfast?

redboxer321 · 10/12/2023 08:49

As others have said it could be hunger and you may want to try feeding smaller amounts more often.
My dogs gets three meals a day and a snack before bed.
Keeps her mostly good but if her tummy gurgles I give her a clay supplement from Aniforte. It works really well.

Pollyparkin · 10/12/2023 09:07

Oh no. I'd hate to think he was hungry. He usually has a very specific short and snappy bark for hunger and if I ask "are you hungry" he'll run to his dish and wait. I feed 3 times a day with kibble left on offer through the day. But I'll buy some tummy settler and will also cook him some rice

Dogs shouldn't really be free fed - they do better on set meal times.

I would stop leaving his kibble down, give him three meals a day and maybe a snack before bed to tide him over until morning.
