Dao your dogs ever have random 'barky nights?'

They just keep grufting and growling and barking at something tonight. Been down to settle them 3 times. I'm bloody tired and nothings different or happening (that I can hear anyways!) but they just keep starting

They do this every once in a while. Not often, thank fook. But it's very bloody annoying.

My dogs only ever do that when I am on my own in the house. Foxes, badgers, cats.

That would freak me out!

We're quite new here and it's terraced houses so very aware of neighbours too 😟

That's annoying. Your dogs are still a little on alert, finding their marks and the neighbour's cat is lurking.

Yes it does freak me out. The growling even more than the barking.

Is it windy where you are? Ours is unsettled tonight and I think she can hear the house making noises in the wind.

I think mine sleep- woofs! He does the occasional bark, I go down to see what it is, put my hand on him and it’s like he wakes up! He then goes straight back to sleep without making a peep. Probably dreamt someone came to the door with a cheese sandwich.

No. Apart from waking us to use the toilet, mine has slept through the night since he was a puppy.

Usernamesarenoteasy · 07/12/2023 07:39

Neither of mine ever make a noise really, unless there are fireworks or it's extremely windy. They're both very good.

BoobyDazzler · 07/12/2023 07:45

Mine does this occasionally and the culprit is usually a fox in the garden.

OuiOuiKitty · 07/12/2023 07:47

Mine used to do this. We play white noise every night now and it stopped it happening.

Spidey66 · 07/12/2023 07:50

No. Mine does a few barks in the yard like she's saying hi to the neighbours, otherwise she rarely barks.

SuperheroBirds · 07/12/2023 07:56

Yes, last night. I was not delighted to be woken up at midnight and then 3:30am. My dog isn’t normally much of a barker but every now and then he has a night like this.
