Any solutions I've not thought of

I've spotted a new job I want to apply for but it's longer days and longer commute which would mean hundreds of pounds a month on dog walker or dog day care. I don't have friends, family or neighbours who can help. I don't think something like borrow my dog website would be reliable enough. It would be around £25 a day for walking or dog care for a longer day which is about £500 per month. The job would pay a little more but no where near £500 more. Have I missed a solution I've not thought of? Working from is not possible with the job I've found.

Could you work out what you could reasonably afford and post on a local page asking if anyone would be able to help?

At one point a few years ago I had a neighbour's teen come and sit in my house all day with my dog. He had younger siblings who got on his nerves so was happier to just sit and watch TV at mine. Of course you need someone you can trust to an extent though.

If you want reliable, daily dog care then you're going to need to throw money at it unfortunately. You also want someone who is insured and knows what they're doing.

Personally if I was going to have to chuck £500 away on dog care I wouldn't take the job. It just wouldn't be worth it to me.
