Taking out after first vaccine

Ddog is arriving in a couple of weeks and have booked his first vaccine. He'll be 8.5 weeks when he comes to us and the vets have have him booked in at 10 weeks for his first jabs and said as this is done at 10 weeks he can go out a week later and before the second start (he'll still need to go back for this though). They said if we was booked on at 9 weeks which was the initial plan he'd need to wait for the second set 4 weeks later and then go our a week after this.

I've never heard of them being ok to go out after the first dose but seems something to do with him having the first ones at 1" weeks. Does this sound right...

They are fine to go out after the first dose.
The key is to keep them away from stagnant water / mud and un-vaccinated dogs.

Save things you can do:
take him out in the car to a semi busy place like town centre. Just keep him in the car, boot / doir open so he can observe sounds and smells.
Short (5-10 min) walks on the pavement.

Have some visitors - short stay, maybe without them planning with the puppy.

Start teaching sit, down, lead walking.

Practice recall!
And practice heel!! Your puppy will follow you naturally, just tap your leg and say heel and make sure he walks with you for a few steps.
