Hi MN brains

I have a dog passport from France to decipher and wondered what the date of identification l'animal is? Is it the date the dog was chipped or the date it was identified by the French vet in order to issue the passport when needed? Under the insert number, above the emplacement location

Thankyou for any help!

You might be better off asking on the Animal Health Certificate group on Facebook, there are some knowledgeable people on there who might have gone through the process in France. I'm afraid I got our dogs passports in Ireland so wouldn't want to advise wrong

Looking on my old dog's French passports it appears to be the date of implantation. However, the text above it actually says Date d'implantation so it sounds like it is not the same document as yours. He had 3 passports throughout his life (travelled a lot across the Channel!) and in all of them, it is the implantation date under the insert number, above the location. Hope this helps

Yes definitely helpful - I don't believe brits should get them any more and it's now a health certificate but it was issued this year, very odd
