i am looking for a really good pair of pull on ankle or mid calf boots for dog walking. I have a superb pair of proper wellies so I need this pair to be ankle or
short calf

Happy to pay but only if actually worth it as they are… quite pricey!

I’ve had one pair of muck boots and they split very quickly. They refused to refund or replace.

I wear Aigle or goretex (Merrell) trainers for less muddy areas. If I wanted mid calf I’d go for equestrian boots but where I live really it’s tall wellies from now until March, unless it’s the beach.

I’ve had a pair of Arctic Sport mid calf Muck Boots for several years now and love them. Walked miles in them day in day out and they are so comfortable and warm. Occasionally I’ll bother to wash some of the mud off and they spruce up like new. I wouldn’t be without mine.

I've currently got woofwear muck boots. Not had them long but they are warm, comfy, not split or leaked yet (1/2 hours off lead a day) & were ÂŁ55 on eBay. All reviews have been good

I love my woofwear muck boots. Wear them daily when I don’t have to contend with flooded ground. And actually I’ve been through pretty deep puddles in them and stayed dry. My last pair the sole became thin through usage.

Mines split after a few months at the ankle where rubber joins neoprene. Wasn’t impressed the muck boots I had before were much better.

I've got Woof Wear ones and they're great. Comfortable, warm, waterproof and have lasted ages. Great for the muddy days. Would definitely get more if needed.

I have some midcalf, super thermal wellies from Dunlop, off Amazon. 1/4 price of hubbies muckboots but offer great support in the foot and rated down to -40C. Super snuggly, and very easy to wash off under hosepipe

See you've already bought some, but just in case you want a back up pair - these are brilliant. Mine are currently on their third winter, they're still going strong, they're very comfy, and they look pretty good too: www.matalan.co.uk/womens-footwear-shoes/black-chelsea-wellies/14729131.html
