Anyone not walking a firework scared dog today ?

I've heard a couple of bangs like people setting them off - the booming box type just now and my dog hates them. I was pondering keeping him in but at the same time he leaped up in excitement when he saw me get poo bags out as he knows that means walk time. Poor thing.

My dog copes better when out walking.

He walked OK last night. Later in the evening when he was sitting on the sofa with DS, someone very close to here let off a lot and my dog was shaking and panting in terror for more than an hour.

I wouldn't walk a dog off lead with fireworks about. Unless contained with fencing/whatever.

Yes good point. We've heard gun shots before when out and he's been on lead and he's pulled to get back to the car. I'd hate it if he bolted.

We did 15 minutes round the block with a trail of cheese crumbs to distract from anything scary though a lady brushing her steps was greeted with suspicion
