has anyone had issues with fleas recently? In 16 years of dog ownership I've never experienced anything like it. We treat them, (two small dogs) wash all soft furnishings at high temperature, indorex the shit out of everything, but they still come back.
We've got Effipro from the vets, but I've recently got some itch pet on order, so will see if that works better. Any advice?

I’m not sure what’s been up the last 6 months or so.
I’ve had dogs since the 90s and could have counted on one hand how many times I’d found a tick, this spring even on street walks I was finding them.
We flea on a four week schedule and recently had to indorex the house and get those Johnson 4 fleas to kill them off. They seem quite resistant to increasing numbers of pesticides. 😭

Effipro and Itch Pet are both fipronil; consider trying a product with a different active ingredient if this isn’t working in your situation.

We’re struggling with them at the moment too. We’ve been treating with prescription drugs plus the house and with daily hoovering it’s coming under control.

I know loads of people with the same problem. Its a bad year it seems.

I’ve had no problem whatsoever with fleas since our last cat died five years ago. Before that it was an ongoing problem.

My dog is 13 and we’ve never had a flea issue but he’s treated with prescription stuff ( bravecto ) .

Fleas have been awful this year, I think bravecto is the only treatment that works now.
