Full pug?

8 week old male puppy. Any experts out there think he's a full pug?

Difficult to tell with young puppies, mine came home looking like a Jack Russel and looked like one till about 14 weeks

Was the breeder unsure of paternity?

Probably, look at those eyes, poor relegated to a life of dry eye and corneal infections.

It's hard to tell from those photos. Is he yours? What did the breeder say he was? Do you have KC papers?

The only way to tell is to do a DNA test.

He looks fairly "pug like" to me but he could also have some Frenchie in there.

This was mine at 8 weeks. I think your friend’s has something else, possibly frenchie like pp have said. As he’s grown up his face fold has become less pronounced, but still 100% pug (with papers).

Did she not see both parents? Did she not look at the genetic health tests that should’ve been done on both parents before breeding? Especially important for such an inherently unhealthy breed. If she used puppy farm/back yard breeder she’ll only know by a DNA test, they’re about £50.

Looks more like a puggle to me. Not a bad thing because may have less breathing issues but looks nothing like my full pug did at that age!
