Dog flap

Any recommendations for a small/medium dog flap that's not so heavy that my cats can still use it.

Looking online all the ones I can see that have any decent weather proofing seem too heavy for my cats to open and none of my local stores carry them for me to have a look at

Dog is a corgi mix 11kg so not tiny but not huge and Im not bothered about it reading microchips

Plexidor make really good quality ones which last for years and you can get spare parts. Cats can use them and they can be secured when you go away.

Bloody pricey though.

I'm sure I've seen dog flaps that have cat flaps cut out of them somewhere, but I can't find one on Google so maybe I'm completely making it up 😂

Thanks that's great I'll look into the plexidor, not fussed on price to a certain degree as it will always be in use
Iv only ever had to buy cheap catflaps when previous large breeds decided to wear them as necklaces

We have this one from Amazon and it's excellent. Our miniature poodles (7kg) go through it fine and so would a cat. It's got a piece that goes in for security and it does give piece of mind. I got mine 2 years ago and it's still perfect.

Another vote for Plexidor, different world in-terms of quality (and price!) easy enough for cat to open, although sizes are a bit limited.
