Picked up puppy today

Been an amazing first day with her. She isn't keen on the crate yet but I'll keep trying

Question about bedtime please! She is conked out now but hasn't had a final meal. Will this fall into place? Should I wake her to feed her?

I wouldn't wake her.

Congratulations on the new family member. Expect a sleepless night! Dh slept downstairs with ours beside the crate for the first couple of weeks and took out whenever he stirred.

Where is her face fur and whiskers? Do they shave them? Surely dogs need their whiskers?

God I'm scared now! She's been asleep for about an hour and a half - I'm hoping she will wake, eat, go to the loo and sleep a bit...?!

You're in for the best time!!! Poodle puppies are absolute joys and so soft! Plus they keep their puppy smells for ages. Very smart too - we train all of ours to ring a bell to go outside etc. do you have a name yet?

She looks exactly as she should. Have you got her booked in with a groomer yet ?
