Can anyone tell me how much salt/sugar to add to some boiled chicken broth to rehydrate a poorly dog?
He's had diarrhoea for several days sadly.

You can give your dog diorlyte unsure of spelling) that is used for babies.

Honestly I’d be concerned about getting that wrong and making things worse - I always used Oralade for my old greyhound who often had issues with pancreatic diarrhoea. I think it’s on Amazon but your vet probably has some?

I've just given him some with a bit of rice, punch of sugar & a few grains of salt. He's lapping it up. He's a very poorly dog with kidney failure but he will still eat a bit of rice & chicken.

Thank you for responding.
I'm taking him to the vets this afternoon.
He's sleeping & is more relaxed after his drink. He had all the broth & left the rice.
