How do I know if my dogs happy

He gets fussed, played with, walked, fed and is so loved. He is socialised with other dogs.
He's 2 now and dozes mostly, in a sunny spot if he can. He loves people, going fir walks and being chased.
How do I know if he's happy? I've never had a dog before and I just want to make sure he's happy! I also never knew how much I would love a dog, it's like nothing else isn't it.

I think if he's generally relaxed, confident, interested and wags his tail a lot then you're gold :)

@cheeseisthebest I’m sure he is-he certainly looks it! I think about this lots too! I love our pup soooo much and hope she’s a happy girl. She’s only 9 months old and is also a big snoozer. It looks like a pretty great life-I just hope she agrees!

Lol did I write this? I once cried because I was out of dog treats and my dog was disappointed. She got a slice of ham instead!!! And some of my dinner 🙈

I’d say your pup is extremely happy - gets fussed over and all he has to do each day is find the sunniest spot to lounge in. Oh to have that life!!!

Soo cute. Dont worry I have had 3 dogs over the years and they will let you know if they are not happy. Looking sad , unwilling to play and generally being under par.He looks full of beans ,you are doing all the right things here.

When my kids were young they were always jealous of the dogs getting to stay home with me . Just going for the walk at 9 am . Coming home have a leisurely breakfast a play then a nap , a potter in the garden etc .
