Dogomatic halters

Anyone have experience of using a Dogomatic halter on their pooch? I bought one on the advice of a neighbour for my dog reactive staffie, they are a bit pricey, but I was assured they are really good for control.
Well, what can I say. She dosen't mind me putting it on, just stands there looking sideways at me...Then we start walking, oh deary me, she immediately throws herself to the ground and starts rubbing the floor with her head to get it off, that dosen't work so she rubs her head against my legs, weaving in and out so trying to walk is pointless! I've been putting it on her and walking round the house on the lead, but we are getting nowhere with it...Do they ever get use to it or have I wasted £35?

We got one for our 6 month GSD a week ago who pulls like a train and our trainer recommended. Every day slightly better but still stops and tries to rub her head on the floor throughout the walk. Have to use very very high value treats and practise for short times through the day. They certainly work but slow and short sessions with good rewards are needed.
