It's always been my fantasy dog breed. I've loved them since Turner and Hooch (I'm old) and also fell in love with one when volunteering at Battersea many years ago. Next year I will hopefully be self-employed and working from home so it would be the perfect time to finally get one.

I have 2 dc that will be 7 and 9 years old by then, and a 14 year old Brittany Spaniel who is very sprightly for his age but doesn't really like boisterous puppies. I had a labrador that was sadly pts 2 years ago and they got along great together. I'd love to hear stories and experiences with the breed and hopefully some pics! 🤞

Friend had one, he was overweight with terrible skin allergies, so not sure how representative he was of the breed, but he was lovely and gentle, well mannered and easy to train.

Oh, I've not read about skin allergies with the breed. I've had Staffs and they often have skin problems.
