They're nice dogs but very very barky in my experience

Mine does rather like the sound of his own voice that’s true but I wouldn’t call him barky although that’s probably because he’s been trained not to be and he knows he’s not allowed to gob off. he does has a very wide range of vocal noises and we can have quite satisfactory conversations with him.

He’s an excellent guard dog.

So according to previous posters, Bedlington’s can be barkers? Then I suggest Gerald would be an appropriate name. Ronnie Barker used the name Gerald Wiley as a pseudonym.
