Hi looking to see if any Vets or nurses about please... DDog has been given Loxicom for pain relief after an op to remove a lump on her paw. 18kg dose given at 8am this morning. She has been good all day but limping again now and wondering if I can give her paracetamol, I know the correct dose for her. Just wanted to check there were no contra indications. She is back for a bandage change in the morning but just want to give her a wee bit of relief till then. Thank you x

I am not a vet, but have certainly given my girls both Loxicom (Meloxicam) and paracetamol before on vet's advice.

Your vets should give you advice on the phone, though? Or your insurance may have a phone advice line?

Thank you. We were given paracetamol for her to manage pain pre op so have that and know the dose. I thought it would be fine but just wanted to check if there was a contra indication. Thanks again

My elderly dog is on loxicom, tralieve and paracetamol. He has paracetamol 3 times a day. As long as you are sure of the dose it will be fine.
Have been told many times that I can add paracetamol in when using Metacam, loxicom or meloxicam.

Thank you, I've given her it now and she has settled for a snooze. X
