Sudden lump

Hi everyone - hoping a dog expert may be able to help. Our lovely pug has developed a large lump under her skin, on her chest - it’s grown very quickly (48 hours max) and is big and soft. I’ve got a vet appointment for tomorrow but any ideas? Obviously fear cancer but most cancer I have known in dogs have been hard growths. It’s the speed of growth that is worrying me most. Thanks!

It could be a lipoma (fatty lump) - they're pretty common in older dogs.

I am not a medical expert but something growing quite big in 48 hours makes me wonder if it is fluid of some kind.
