Moths, spiders, flies and possibly a mouse or frog

I am currently dog sitting my sons 2 whippets while he is on honeymoon. Previously when he has asked me to dog sit they make reference to them being a bit more porky on their return. I did get confused with their instructions, so the dogs are on a raw food diet, all weighed out. They told me they can have the odd treat, chew, babybel some apple etc

However this time round they havent been walked as much due to the weather so i was told to keep an eye they were not overeating, anyway they have taken matters into their own hands, I let them outside to do their business and noticed wilbur crunching away on something, by the time i got to him he had eaten it, it was either a frog or a mouse, luna ate a fly and a moth and then wilbur ate a spider, are any of these things harmful?

Probably not. Keep an eye on them and if they seem unwell call the vet.

If your son makes snide comments about your dog sitting tell him to get professional dog sitters in future, and he can pay the going rate.

Thanks, they both seem to be happy, currently sleeping alongside me. they had a dog walker but wilbur didnt like him at all, they also had a whippet place they could stay but Luna was unhappy and didnt settle, she is OK with me, so think thats why I am involved, I dont mind at all just worry that they may come to harm, thank you for this, I will keep an eye on them

Eating snails is dangerous for dogs. Hopefully, in this dry weather, they won't find any.

My girl is obsessed with rancid snails. The smell when I try to pry them out of her mouth is so so bad 🤢

I first thought this was the Litter Tray as felines enjoy these kind of snacks (or gifts). Unless you aren't in the UK with poisonous dart frogs, black widows etc then you should be fine.

I would tell your DS that next time you dogsit you are feeding them properly, even if they end up porky, as when you use his starvation rations they go find their own food!

Enjoy the snuggles ❤
