I had to put my darling dog to sleep yesterday

I feel so numb. The house is so very quiet without her woofs, snoring, ‘talking’ and tap dancing on the floors as she went from room to room.

I thanked her for all the love and very happy times in the 13 years we had together. She was the most devoted dog and loved people.

im posting because I know other community members here will understand.

I’m sorry. What a lovely girl. What was her name? We give them the best life they could wish for. Letting go is very hard.

Thank you, yes she’s taken part of me with her but I’m so very glad she had her favourite vet, nurse and receptionist there with her. She went so very peacefully and, hard as it was (and still is), I know it was the right decision.

Our dog family lost a grand matriarch yesterday too another sweet ruby cavvie.

@Kaftankween thank you for asking. I still feel quite numb and I’m taking it one day at a time. The worst bit is coming home to no Cherie there to give me a delighted welcome. I miss her so much
