Register microchip

Going someone can advise. Our dog is microchipped but is there a central database the number should be registered to? Is it just the local vet? Thanks

I registered mine with Pet Log as I think they hold the largest database in the UK

There's a number of competing microchip databases. Yours might already be registered to one but need a change of owner form.

You need to check the database. One of ours is Petlog, the other is Chipworks. It's worth paying for the upgrade as you can change temporary addresses for holidays without an extra fee. Ours paid for themselves within a year or so going away for weekends to relations.
