Help. Dog shaking and panting

Hello

my 5 year old dog has had his booster vaccination and kennel cough vaccine today and in the last two hours has started shaking, panting and doesn’t want to be picked up.

is this normal? Has anyone else’s dog had this?

I have spoken to the vet and they had advised to keep an eye on him for now as could be a reaction but I would like other opinions as I’m worried.

I had a dog collapse after a vaccination once - I’d get back on the phone to your vet and update them.

Erm how did they administer the kennel cough vaccine? Our dog was wrongly injected with it when it should be given orally and was really not well for a couple of days. The vet was convinced it was not a vaccine reaction...but she was lethargic, appeared in pain, definitely distressed. She recovered over 48hrs with rest, water, and a couple of doses of metacam. Maybe it was a sudden strained ligament that coincided exactly with the jab but we didn't buy that. Thankfully she made a complete recovery very fast.

Is there stomach hard at all?? If so it could be an emergency. I'd just get them checked to be safe.

It was administered up the nose.

his stomach is fine and he isn’t crying when touching it.

he is panting a lot and iv tried to give him his favourite treats and he isn’t budging.

iv rang the vet again as panicking now because he is small (Pomeranian - 2.5kg) and I’m worried something is really wrong but they have said again to keep an eye one him.
