Tear stains

Hi guys, I have a white dog. I've tried two different products from Amazon for yearn stains, one liquid in a bottle and another pads and they aren't shifting the stains despite using daily. Any one got any recommendations? Thanks

Try changing the drinking water. If giving tap try filtered or bottled. If giving filtered try tap. Check their food for chicken / poultry and try a poultry free food.
Tear stains can be down to dietary intolerance.

What colour? Mine are really pink. It's reduced since we changed his food to one with less iron but still unsightly. And he loves chicken!

Does he use a metal bowl for food or water? Someone told me that causes it, not sure if that’s true though?!?

Hi thanks for the reply's. The stains are brownish. I'm in Scotland so doubt it's the water? Yeah he uses metal bowls, I've never heard of that before but going to look into it.

Thank you I will take a look. I looked into the bowl theory and it's actually plastic bowls they advise against due to possible build up of bacteria .

I'm sure my mum used something called Angel eyes for her dog.

No plastic bowls, bottled water. wash around eye and face area daily and ensure thoroughly dry. Tropispa blueberry facial wash is good for this purpose available on Amazon but any gentle shampoo will suffice. it will take around 3 months and needs to be maintained.

@Noeggsontoast I have been cleaning daily for around 2 weeks but no improvement yet...maybe slight it's hard to tell. Thanks will take a look on Amazon now

@inlovewiththejoker you need to wait for the new growth to come through. Two weeks won't make much difference. Honestly it's all about time and being religious with the eye/face area cleaning.
