Puppy set up

Hi All! I'm getting myself confused! We are getting a puppy in a few weeks and needed to clarify something. So I've got a crate and a dog bed in there for crate training which will be in the kitchen whilst toilet training. Do I also need a dog bed in the lounge for the pup to go to when needed? Or will the crate do?

It totally depends on your set-up and what you want to achieve.

You could move the crate around the house or have multiple crates or beds - it's totally your decision!

Thank you! I was just stressing that I need to get another one from day one. But will just see how it goes I suppose

I have my crate in the main sitting room , we don't have any other dog beds . It's not nice to look at , has a blanket over the top . I'm sleeping in there whilst toilet training . But will probably only be there about eighteen months , so I'm not to bothered about whether it looks unsightly .

No, it's totally up to you!

Our dog doesn't have a dedicated bed at our house, but he has several at the in-laws and it doesn't seem to make a difference to him either way - he loves them all 😂

We have a crate in the kitchen where pup sleeps and a bed in the front room. He's never sat on the one in the front room. He prefers the sofa.
