Firstly is cat nip safe for dogs?

If so has anyone found it calms their dog?

Catnip is safe for dogs.

It is often used in active scent work .

Some people believe it has a sedative affect on some dogs. Personally I have not noticed that.

I think the catnip needs to be digested to have a sedative response. I dont encourage my dogs to eat it.

We use it for scentwork with our dogs.

They do seem to like the smell, I’ve had lots of dogs very interested in cat’s toys with it and just the catnip.

it definitely does not have the same effect on them as it does on cats 😂
