Can anyone recommend me an insurance company?

Just got my renewal quote for this year with Tesco - £555!!!!!

Dog is seven with no pre existing conditions.

Thanks in advance.

How much coverage is that for? £46 a month for a 7 year old dog doesn't sound extortionate to me if it is decent coverage

Standard cover up to £3,500?

I have just taken a policy out with Waggel, not sure how good they are, but you can choose all kinds of level of cover and excess but that was for a puppy.

I pay £38 a month for lifetime cover with petplan up to £7K a year but my dog is only 2.

Claimed with them multiple times (for him and other pets) and always had no issues getting paid.

I’m with Many Pets and just my renewal quote - £32 up from £24 last year. That’s for £15000 of cover for a 3 year old crossbreed

My renewal with many pets was £67 up from £45 for a 5 year old. Switched to John Lewis, £12k of cover for £40 per month.

At seven, insurance isn't going to be cheap to matter who you switch to.

What pre-existing conditions does he have that could impact claims in the future? Is £3500 really enough coverage or are you wanting to increase that?

We pay more than that with Tesco for our five year old beagle but we have a lifetime policy and 15k worth of cover a year. £48 a month for a "senior" dog isn't much at all, really.

I don’t think your quote is that expensive tbh. I paid £499.20 this year with Napo. That’s up from £312 last year! My dog is 5 and we’ve never claimed.
