Equafleece

I bought one from my springer & loved it. She's ripped it a few times but I was able to sew it.

She ran into the woods the other day & came back without the fleece & I've not been able to find it.

I really don't want to pay £46 for another one for the same thing to happen.

Are they supposed to fit like a second skin or to have a little bit of room ?

I just need it to keep her clean so it's less washing after walks. Has anyone found a cheaper alternative that's decent. I don't need it to be waterproof

I bought one for my springer on eBay for about a tenner and I think another was by Ancol and was even less. The Ancol one has a zip up the back which makes things easier getting his arms in.

My sympathies, OP. My staffie has managed to lose 3 equafleece coats in thickets in the forest - one was less than a month old. The forestry staff have finally cleared one of the thickets but no sign of the coat. I expect a fox is wearing it now( along with the 3 or 4 LED flashing collars she has also lost).

I had great success with one from pets at home this year, zip up the back and 4 legs in it. Washed and worn brilliantly

The Rydale ones are fantastic and they are £11.99.

Another vote for rydale

I've bought one from tdawg_uk and it's been great. Paid a little extra and had the waterproof belly panel.

Also own rydales and yes they're brilliant and a more affordable price!

TBH if your dog has ripped and lost an equafleece the same will happen with pretty much any other coat.

I have energetic dogs and they do not wear a coat (for many reasons, they do restrict movement, can get caught on undergrowth and ripped , dogs get pretty hot when being active on a walk etc).

However when the walk is finished I put the equafleece on to drive home and they are the dry and clean when we get back.

That's great ! Thanks a million 😊

I'll definitely try just putting one on her after her walk, that's a fab idea

That's such a good idea. I was wondering how you cope with a wet dirty DDog when the weather warms up! Wink

Do either of these have a clip on the back for leads?

The tdawg_uk one which we use doesn't but we put her harness over the top of the fleece.
