Sympathy gift ideas

My best friend's gorgeous 2 year old golden retriever passed away unexpectedly yesterday. I know that nothing I could get her will even touch the sides on how she's feeling right now, but I would like to get her a little something. Having had a look online I don't want to get her a candle or any sort of trinket with a phrase about paw prints being left on hearts.

Does anyone have any ideas?

So hard to lose a dog, especially one so young.
A cushion with a picture of her dog so your friend can hug her friend?
Or any sort of photo / picture gift is nice.

Does she have a garden? Small flowering bush/plant. Brings joy immediately, doesn't die (like flowers), and reminds them of the dog every year when it flowers.

If not that, I'd say a card and chocolate. Home baking would be even better.

I don't think my home baking would help anyone feel better.. but I do like the flowering plant idea! Thank yous!

A bit of a random suggestion but my managers dog died and we got her this personalised pet portrait of her dog if you search pet portrait on Etsy there are loads and you can even buy quite quirky ones if you feel she would appreciate it , my manager loved it xx
