Do you let your cavalier off lead?

If not, do you have a very long lead and could recommend one please?

Yes mine is off lead. She won't leave my side as likes staying close even when walking through open fields. We did lots of recall training when she was a puppy.

I would like her to explore away from me off lead but she prefers staying close.

We have a cavapoo who loves going off lead, but never goes far away. If he stays having a sniff or chasing a squirrel he runs to catch up. Longest he spends without looking around to check where we are is about 30 seconds!

Yes but in very select locations as they would bother livestock if allowed!
We use horse lungelines instead of long leads, cheaper and harder wearing

Yea mines always off the lead in parks etc but not on busy streets as she has no road sense. She doesn't go that far from me tbh unless she sees a bird to chase!
