Going rates for dog sitters?

So our dog is 6 going on 7 and we have never needed to leave him with anyone, we now have a wedding coming up (close family) and need to fly so looking into dog sitting/stay, we are in London so maybe more expensive here, but would £35 a night be a reasonable price? seems quite steep!! Meeting a few over the next few days, haven't got any prices from the rest

seems reasonable to me but I would pay whatever if it meant the right people where looking after my dog tbh

Thank you, yes very good advice!! I am seeing a couple of them tomorrow but never done it so I have absolutely no idea about the going rate! Freaking out about it, unfortunately, we don't have any family nearby or anyone else to look after him

£35 seems cheap to me. We paid our dog sitters £10 an hour just to sit in my home, with dog who had dementia

£35 seems cheap. Have you looked into the official petsitters website? They are properly vetted.

I agree, I think £35 seems quite cheap. But dog walkers charge about £20/hour round here and that is with other dogs. 1 to 1 walks are more.

We are in SW England and I pay £28 for ddog to stay at a sitter, (who has other dogs too) or £50 for sitter to come to stay at our house and look after Dcat and other furries.

I am paying £35 per night for the next 11 nights for my holiday, but my sitter is very lovely and it is a home environment so I suck it up. But she has 2 other dogs at the same time and for sole care I am sure it would be ££££ more.

I charge a minimum of £50 per night and I'm nowhere near London. That's to come and stay in your home and provide personalised care, though.

Boarding is cheaper but that's because they can look after multiple dogs - around here you can get kennels for £15/night or home boarding for around £35 a night.

Please make sure any boarders are licensed by the council (as required by law), and any sitters should have the relevant insurance.
