Behaviour regression after spay

My 18 month whippet was spayed 3 weeks ago, she made a very quick physical and apparently emotional recovery after her laparoscopic procedure, but has been possessed by pixies for that last 2 weeks... its like having the super naughty 6 month puppy again which was a phase we were VERY glad to leave behind. She wants to play ALL the time, she won't let our other whippet rest... constantly barking at him to play and wrestle with him, and wanting to play silly bitey face. She is stealing, rummaging, chasing the cats... all things that had stopped ! Ummmm..... help ????

When was her last season before her spay?

Didiplanthis · 20/03/2023 21:24

4 months. She had a false pregnancy but the vet brought her out of it with cabergoline and she was completely settled before the op.

How long after her phantom pregnancy?
id go back to your vet tbh

Quite usual . I'd ensure you pen her to give your other dog space .

Lots of enrichment toys ,'licky mat , kong , sniffing time for decompression

I'd give the vet a call for their opinion
