Recommendations for protective waterproof boot for my greyhound?

My greyhound/whippet has sliced a chunk off one of his pads. i can bandage it using a small pantyliner/kitchen paper/cohesive tape and a trainer sock. That is fairly successful in dry conditions but no good when its wet.
Can anyone suggest a type of boot to go over the bandaged paw and protect it ?
Or alternatively any ideas regarding making something suitable? I'm thinking maybe trying to fashion a sole from a bit of closed cell camping mat and some waterproof fabric for the upper?
Sighthounds do tend to have 'pianist's paws' and it's harder to find boots to fit them!

I use Muttluk boots for my wolfhounds.

You can buy Pawz rubber boots, sort of balloon shaped, tight at the top though so def need a bigger size to go over a sock or bandage. Would need to remove after dog been out as they get a bit sweaty. Quite hard wearing. Used the xlarge for a collie. Can buy from amazon

Might be hard on something as small as a greyhound paw, but on a damaged horses foot we would typically use nappy, cohesive tape then fashion an entire over boot out of duct tape. Waterproof and sturdy enough to survive a day out in the field.

I've not tried them, but Honeyboots are designed specifically for greyhound paws.

They seem expensive though.

We use drip bags from the vets. Cut a few holes around the top, thread a bit of bandage through and once it's over the paw, cinch and tie just above the wrist. Cheap and cheerful but certainly does the job

We tried a few different types, but found these worked best for our Lurcher.

The short boot type ones just tended to fall off, but with the longer leg and higher velcro straps it was easier to keep these on him.
