Erm was there a whole section where the cameras were rolling on Claire Balding / the winner of the Utility class and they clearly didn't realise it was being shown to the public? The handler/breeder was talking about the Sunday judge being prickly and all sorts!

Not sure, but interviewing the Crufts commentator with two French Bulldogs and no mention of their health. Typical Kennel Club sadly.

They've done a whole piece on bradychephalic breeds but the KC just talked workable solutions 🤔

Why do the handlers keep slapping the dogs faces? It's making me really annoyed!

Of course the German Shepherd looked unhealthy and like it struggles to run. How can a judge possibly look at that and deem it a good example of the breed?

Do the dogs really enjoy being shown? I find that hard to believe that they wouldn't prefer to be snoozing on the sofa or running through a field!

I hate the cheese wire short slip leads they use too. I'm pretty sure my own dog would move like a Crufts champ if I put on of those on her, but they do not look comfortable!

I do enjoy seeing all the different breeds tho (an imaginary 'I want' list)

And yes the chat about the French bulldogs... what a load of bollocks. The dog shown may have been 'healthy' by FB standards but the vast majority aren't and the KC are responsible for encouraging the horrific state they are in . They should be banned, along with pugs and other flat faced, screw spine/tailed breeds until they have been outcrossed to dogs without those deformities!

Sadly a lot of the breeds are now so badly bred for 'show' they're incapable of doing the job they're originally bred for. Kennel Club has been awful for promoting unhealthy dogs.

My dog was engrossed earlier. Had to break his heart by telling him that Crufts is not inclusive - his mixed breed ass is trash to them 🤣
