Grooming costs?

Sorry if this has bene done to death. What do you pay for a full groom, what size dog and where in the country? Just curious as she gets more cuts than me 😆

I have a 6.4kg mini poodle X. 70miles from London, Sth East/East of England. Regular, high street, independent groomer is £35. Due to temporary closure, had to go elsewhere nearby today. Its an industrial estate and was £45 for the same cut!

What do you pay?

£40 for a mini poodle not a traditional poodle clip a wash dry and all round short clip and £35 for a medium sized mutt who sheds badly he has a wash dry and brush. Scotland.

Should have added independent one woman dog groomer.

£55 for a full groom on a 13kg cockerpoo, home counties. He has additional needs and they are amazing with him.

Gah. Have a red setter. Used to be £35 by a great groomer. Then he stopped doing it. I now have to go to another groomer (who is also lovely) but it’s now £60. I couldn’t find anything cheaper. North West.

He now basically has a skinhead with some poofy bits twice a year instead of 12 weekly grooming.

Sigh. Although he seems to quite like looking like a poodle for 2 months.

5kg Yorkie with a Westie cut.
He also gets his hair done more often than I do.. every 6 weeks - no way would I contemplate that kind of commitment for myself 🥲

We have two shih tzus, one with long hair and the other kept short. Costs around £30 for the short one, but the long haired one is about £50-55 every 3 month with a £25 bath and clean up every 3-4 weeks!!

Thanks everyone. Good to get an idea if was being unreasonable or not re the price. Seems about average after all. I'm clearly in the wrong profession though. £55 for a 5kg Yorkie! 😮

£35 for a small cockapoo

SE , I was paying £32 for a full groom for a 15kg terrier but he’s decided to grow his hair so he hasn’t been this year and they put the prices up in January so I’m not sure what the cost is now .

£30 each, a ‘teddy bear’ cut for our small cavapoo and a cut which turns our shaggy, slightly bigger cockapoo into a small Labrador lookalike (so all over one length, v short). She also trims their little nails and adds a dab of ‘doggy cologne’ apparently, so they come home smelling delightful.

Oh, we’re in the north Devon, west Somerset area

£110 for handstripping, medium terrier (Irish). Based in London.

It's increased from £75 in two years.

I know only get my haircut every six months so the dog can go every three...

Youch at some of these prices!

Currently 50 pounds for a not quite fully grown samoyed boy. Will be 60 when he is. And he comes out sparkling white and smelling lovely!

Which is then ruined by coming to the livery yard with me and running around in the mud. 😂

£40 for a groomer in a van. We do it ourselves now.

£65 for a full wash, blow, cut and nail trim on a 35kg poodle mix. £55 when it's just a wash, blow and hygiene trim.

Done every 5-6 weeks as we like to keep him long

Birmingham. 9kg long haired dog who needs cutting every 10 weeks. Mobile groomer so comes to house. £38 includes a Bath, nails cut and a pretty bow too.
