Adaptil plug in

Hi all,
i have asked this question on my thread about a nervous puppy but thought I would post separately to. I have a puppy who is very anxious (she is a foster). The vet recommended an adaptil plug in diffuser and calming collar. I have been using both. My question is, do these products sedate the dog? She is spending all her time lying on her bed. Certainly not the hyper active behaviour you would expect from a puppy. She has had a full vet check so isn’t unwell physically. It’s hard to tell if it’s just her anxiety or if there is something else going on.

thanks

It doesn't sedate them, it's a pheromone not a drug.

Mine has been better able to cope with the never ending cast of tradesmen, but still perfectly lively, when using adaptil

No, doesn't sedate them.

Hi I actually work for ADAPTIL, no it does not sedate the dog. The diffuser and collar release a copy of the Dog Appeasing Pheromone that a mother dog emits when she has a litter of puppies to keep them calm. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us on Facebook or Instagram 💙

I prefer an Adaptil collar to a diffuser as it stays with them all the time - and it works wonders for my own dog and I've used one for foster puppies as well.
It doesn't sedate them at all.
