Dog probiotics

I've been giving my dog probiotics for a couple of years which has really settled his dodgy digestion (used to get sloppy poo, bad wind etc). I give him 3 Yudigest per day (used to be called YumPro and new pack is called Yumove Digestion). Given how expensive they are I've just been googling for alternatives and I see there are a few other brands of dog probiotics. Has anyone tried any of the others e.g. Mobu, Buddy & Lola and others and are they comparable to Yudigest?

TBH I just bought whatever came up first on Amazon and it works well. Purple and white packaging iirc.

Not sure about those dog brands but I guess the idea of finding a good one would be the same as for human probiotics... so you would need to look for how many live / active bacteria are in them, what the bacteria is suspended in and how it should be stored etc... (in the fridge) etc. Going for a cheaper possibly lesser brand could really be pointless, so check at least those 2 things.

www.viovet.co.uk/ReguTum-Fibre-Care-Powder-for-Cats-Dogs/c39458/

It's a powder for sprinkling on food, rather than tablets. It was recommended to me and I've found it very effective for my dog. (I was a bit confused that it listed fibre, which seemed strange for upset digestion so checked with vet first, - all ok).

I use Nutripaw, my dog has colitis and he’s definitely a lot better on these, I tried the powder ones but he wouldn’t touch food with it on. These are like treats so much easier NutriPaw Pre & Probiotic Digestive Treats For Dogs - Gut & Digestive Health, Sensitive Tums, Anal Glands & Bum Scooting, Loose Stools, Waxy & Itchy Ears, Digestive Enzymes - Great for all dogs amzn.eu/d/d4m6K6o

I give mine homemade kefir, they love it and all are thriving, I've got four, a whippet (12), a Dobermann (13) and two smaller mixed breeds that look like part collie, part king Charles, all are rescues, the Dobermann weighed 50% his recommended weight when her arrived and had many health issues, it took over a year to get him right and the kefir really helped, I started them on a teaspoon mixed in their food and steadily increased, now they line up waiting for it.

Sorry I forgot I'd posted this. Thank you for all the replies. I just bought another tub of Yudigest but will look at all your suggestions and try some alternatives before this one runs out.
