Just had my girl put to sleep

She was a staffy. 15 years and 3 months old. She was very, very tired and it was most certainly time to go. She was a sweet girl, adored all my children. I hope I did enough for her during her lifetime. ♥️

So sorry to read this MissWings. You did what was right for your girl, it was her time. She knew she was loved and you cared for her. She will always be with you.

God I love staffies such loving and chilled little dogs and so affectionate. You loved her and cared for her and that's all she needed x

Thank you all. I just can’t believe she has gone. I feel so grateful she was mine. She really was a beautiful soul. End of an era but feeling at peace. She did died with dignity. Thanks again ❤️.

So sorry @MissWings. I lost my staffy 8 weeks last Saturday - needed to be put to sleep suddenly after 13 perfect years together. Those staffies have a way of making themselves our entire worlds.

What did she look like?

She was black, with ever so slight brindle markings on her back. She was also tiny and not at all that muscular like some staffs. The vet said yesterday she was like a little pocket rocket staffy. Sorry for your loss, what did yours look like?

Aaw she sounds lovely. Mine was small too - possibly staffie x Jack Russell - a timid little rescue. White with black splodges, and so pretty. I think about her every moment of the day when I’m not distracting myself.
Dogs are so very special.

She sounded lovely. Oh they certainly are. I think I appreciate that even more now. She was the first dog I’ve had to put to sleep. I bought her when I was 18 with my first pay packet.
