Has her first season finished??

So, on Wednesday it will be 4 weeks since her first drop of blood. She's a 8 month old Cockapoo. Can I safely say she has finished her season on Wednesday and it's safe for her to be around male dogs? Her vulva is still swollen, but not as much as previous weeks. No discharge for about a week or more. Her nipples are still swollen. It's such a pain not being able to go on long walks and we're desperate to start going further afield again.

Surely after 4 weeks we should be ok.......

If there's no discharge and her vulva is going down, I'd think it's over.

Thank you, I'm just really nervous of her being jumped on! She's only little still, as she's a toy Cockapoo.

We have a 6.5kg mini poodle X. I'd read online that on average, they bleed for 1 week, then highly fertile the following week. Mine had just finished her 2nd heat. I think she bled for nearly 2 weeks, then continued to try humping my own and husbands arm/leg for another 2 weeks. I do think after 4 weeks yours is hopefully at the end! At a similar time we took ours to the beach on a lead- and no males came sniffing it all! best of luck.

Be aware that the nipples will always stay slightly bigger than they were before her first season

Aaah, ok. So if I wait til they go down, I might be waiting forever!! Thank you.
