At vets about? Is this normal walking/ hip issue??

My pug mix walks normally around the house, alternating legs, but when we are on a walk and she's 'running' she sort of hops like this with both her legs at the same time?

I read it can be due to hip dysplasia.

Is she just excited to be running about or would you be concerned?

Not a vet.

If you look at this video of pugs running you will see that they run with their back legs together

Please dont take offence but your pug is a bit overweight which will hinder the movement.

She does look a bit stiff in her hind legs but that may be due to excess weight.

I would want a vet check just to ensure there are no issues and cut back on food a bit.

It is always good to prevent jumping so a ramp would be good

Oh that's made me a feel a lot better.

No offense taken, she is overweight. I just weighed her and she is 11kg :(

I'm definitely putting her on a diet.

My beagle runs a bit like that - no dysplasia or other issues, it's just a breed quirk.

But I agree with PP who says she needs to go on a diet 🙈
