As the title says, I'm (and DH) really starting to fret about having my 18 month old girl spayed. She's so tiny (4lb) and extremely nervous. Just leaving her with the vet will be hugely traumatic for her and she will be terrified and aggressive.
The reason for having her spayed is because when she's in season our neutered male (same chihuahua/mini pincher x) manages to tie with her, and she hates it (although she lets him). I just don't want that happening again.
But I'm so scared something will go wrong, or she will be mentally scared forever.
Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated. It's just not practical to try and keep them apart as they shout the place down for hours, I've tried it.
