My dog died today

12 year old cocker spaniel.
She had bowel cancer and she had to be put to sleep.
It was the right decision, she was ready but my heart feels empty.
She was a fiesty, loud, cheeky, grumpy but insanely loyal and snuggley little lady.
The house feels empty. Everyone seems lost.
I will miss her so much ❤️
I don't think I've ever cried so much 😢

Your dear dog sounds like a really special good girl. It's so hard to have to be the one making the decision op but she had a lovely life with you. She was loyal to you and you were loyal to her. Be comforted that you did what was right by her right to the end of her life. 💐

Awww thank you all for your kind messages.
Everything just feels so empty right now. I can't imagine the house feeling full again.

You did the kindest thing though. It was awful but it was for the best.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost one of my cats in 2021 and it was the hardest thing I've gone through, she had got me through my marriage breakdown and was my shadow during lockdowns/the pandemic always by my side when I was working from home.

Let the tears flow, you gave her the best life and she knew she was loved every day of her life.❤️💔
