Massive poo

My dog is doing massive poos. I’ve just taken her out for an hours walk and when I got back she’d done a ginormous poo in the hallway as well as a smaller one with mucus in the living room. Poo is a light brown (almost yellow) colour and stinks

unusual for her to poo in the house. This poo was so big it would definitely have blocked the toilet, it was almost horse sized! But not diarrhoea.

She sometimes does similar poos on walks and it can take 3 poo bags to pick it up.

Any ideas?

What is she fed and how much?

I would also look at what you are feeding .

Miniature dashhound - very worrying

Massive St Bernard - less so

Could it just be overfeeding?

Our dog pooed on the floor this morning before we were up - the first accident indoors for 2 months, she's nearly 6 months - and I was truly shocked at just how massive a pile it was. Like you said, horse sized and she's a spaniel.

However - yesterday, she was definitely overfed. She ate her own meals and also cleared up under a table of 12 (which included 4 dc) so I can only imagine how much extra she managed. Plus DH left his plate of cheese and crackers on the floor last night 🤦🏻‍♀️ which ddog demolished in the 90 seconds he was gone.
