Itchy sores

My ShihTzu has developed itchy sores around her shoulder/neck - they feel slightly raised and a bit swollen and she’s scratching them a bit. I thought she only had 2 but I’ve bathed her tonight and she’s got 6 including 1 on her leg now.
No evidence of fleas and skin and hair generally looks good.

Vet appointment in the morning but has anyone got any experience of this and what it could be ☹️

What shape are they?

WetLettuce2 · 13/12/2022 21:48

Oval/circles mainly. The first one scabbed and came off and underneath it’s nice skin but no fur.

Ringworm?

WetLettuce2 · 13/12/2022 22:04

Just googled ringworm and it’s a definite possibility thanks !

Wet eczema? The itchy bits will be moist and the the stops out in a clump.

...fur drops... Goodness knows where that came from.

I have a 10yo Shih Tzu & he gets these his are food related! Any sort of commercial treats/food & he gets these. He only gets fed Burns Sensitive biscuits & chicken now & is fine!

Update - I took her to vets and told them she’s got a skin condition. Vet agreed she’s got a skin condition.
Didn’t know what it was, didn’t know what had caused it. Said antibiotics might help, so wrote a prescription and told me to order them online.

So I still don’t know what it is or what caused it, but I’m now £70 lighter and still have drugs to order and wait for.
