Well done Queensland!

Totally agree.

No place for them in my view. Dogs respond better to kindness, reinforcement , than they do to force.

Excellent.

Now let's hope there's enforcement.

They simply don't work anyway . Choke chains should also go the same way .

I have an extremely large , soft as pudding German Shepard who barks like a loon at other dogs if he is on a lead - the first dog trainer I took him to stuck him on a prong collar and yanked him around - I wish I'd been assertive enough to say fuck off then - he poses no threat , just barks . And tbh - if he really wanted to get to another dog he only weighs marginally less than me and he'd have me in my arse with or without any collar . It went in the bin . Lazy trainers use them. Luckily my boy is very very hairy (like a lion ! He had a mane! And I don't actually think it touched his skin . If anything I've learnt it makes the behaviour worse because then the dog associates pain with the object of their dislike.
