Kennel Cough

Nugget has had this for 2 weeks so far. Had antibiotics and anti-inflammatories which finish today, still coughing but not poorly. She's going craaaaazy now, who can blame a 6 month old puppy who's been housebound for two weeks!

Is isolation a week after the last cough as this feels like it's going to go on forever at the moment, especially when she gets over excited - when I've left the room for 30 seconds and retuned and the like 😆

Our vet recommends dogs are symptom free for fourteen days before they go back out on walks.

Called mine last night in the end and they said 2 weeks since onset of symptoms which was yesterday, as long as she seems well enough. I tried a shorter on lead walk today and she was fine, one little cough after a tank on the lead after a bird!!

Still going to avoid other dogs completely for a while though, but the vet said the cough can linger after she's no longer contagious, much as in humans!
