Dog stole a pork rib

My bloody JRT just nabbed a cooked pork rib bone from my plate as I turned my back and ran down the bottom of the garden and ate it. He chewed it up, seems fine currently. How bad is this or will he likely be just fine?

mine did something similar and I gave her a slice of whole meal bread to cushion it, she was fine. Hope it’s all ok.

My JRT is no longer with us. One Sunday I got a chicken out of the oven and the phone went, pushed the chicken to the back of the worktop, answered the phone and walked into thekitchen and looked round for the chicken. All I could find was a clean plate. Then I saw the dog licking his lips. He'd jumped on the worktop and he had scoffed the lot and obviously licked the plate as a finale.

He was absolutely fine, lived to 19 and is sadly missed.

He'll be fine but his poop will be even more rank than usual 😀

Definitely give him a slice of bread to cushion any sharp bones - that's the advice we got from the vet when our beagle raided the bin and ate the chicken carcass 🙈

My lovely 3 JRTs all lived to their late teens.

They all ate chicken carcasses and any old bone shit regularly.

JRTs are tough nuts. I miss mine so much.
