Neutered male dog issues with un-neutered males

I have narrowed my dog's occasional dislike for other dogs down to the above. He only generally takes issue with un-neutered males. Barks/growls if on leash at them.
Anyone else this problem ? I will raise with the behaviourist when we see them (awaiting appointment). Posting for experiences and whether you fixed the issue! Thank you as ever

When this happens firm no and a “this way” change direction or cut across and make yourself dog focus back on you and turn away and force a disengagement.

your dog doesn’t need to like every dog that they come across, but they do need to learn to look to you for guidance and that barking and growling at a unthreatening dog isn’t acceptable

yes barking is a warning- but these dogs aren’t doing anything wrong. So you need to teach a disengage or ignore.

It's very common - something to do with their hormones.

I teach my dog to focus on me instead - I keep him on a lead and use treats to distract him. He might bark sometimes but that's hardly the end of the world.
