Very odd behaviour last two nights

Our dog is a 3.5 year old GBGV (grand basset griffon vendéen). A lovely girl, has really calmed down a lot the last year and a joy to be around (bar the usual half hour madness in the evening before bed). She sleeps on her bed behind a chair next to the radiator in our sitting room and has done ever since she moved out of her crate about 1. She takes herself off to bed generally around 8/9 pm and that's it until the next morning (she has an enormous bladder capacity).

Last two nights she's gone absolutely bonkers at being left in the sitting room on her own. Last week has been quite stressful in our house as our DS (who is 11) was very poorly at the weekend so a lot of coughing and him being in bed so she couldn't see him. Now my DH is poorly and has spent a lot of time in bed without her getting to be with him. But that's happened before, she's never been that upset by it.

Two nights ago she was banging on the sitting room door constantly. She'd been for a wee not that long before, eventually I went down and took her out. She wee'd loads and had a poo and went back in. I went upstairs, she was not happy. Eventually I let her out to sleep on the landing (very rare we do that), she wee'd on the carpet (very very unusual) barked and whined so I slept with her in the sitting room in the end to not disturb the sick ones. Last night very similar, I went down and she'd already wee'd on the sitting room floor and was upset and barking so this time she settled on the landing.

During the day she's fine? She's going out as normal, asking for hugs, eating fine. So is it an infection or is she just upset by the illness in the house?

Sounds like anxiety.

Do you leave a radio or anything on for fee?
